A Pylewell Park Wedding Amidst the New Forest Splendour

As I drive through the enchanting New Forest on this perfect spring day in May, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement for Robyn and Edward's dream wedding at Pylewell Park. The countryside is alive with wild horses roaming the unique landscape, and people are out enjoying walks and picnics under the warm sun. The long, winding driveway leads me to the stunning grade II listed house, hinting at the grandeur that awaits.

Upstairs, I find Robyn getting ready with her mum and bridesmaids in the bridal suite bedroom. The large room, with its 10-foot walls and bay windows, offers a lovely view of the gardens and estate below. The atmosphere is filled with anticipation for the day ahead. From the window, I spot Edward and his best men enjoying a game of rugby on the lawn before they need to get ready.

Inside the expansive marquee, the final touches were being added for the dinner reception in the pavilion. The sea of soft pastel coloured flowers arranged throughout created a beautiful setting for the upcoming celebrations. Heading back upstairs, I captured the moment when Robyn got into her Suzanne Neville dress, a flowing masterpiece that perfectly suited her. Downstairs, her father awaited in the grand entrance hall of Pylewell, creating a perfect setting for their emotional first look before departing in a vintage car for the ceremony.

The place for the ceremony is St John's Church in Boldre, a charming, quaint setting surrounded by the blooms of May and the stunning flowers from Nudo Blooms. Inside, Edward is nervous but ready as Robyn walks down the aisle. After a short but sweet ceremony, the couple exits to a colourful confetti shower, with the page boy throwing the last bits as they head off to Pylewell Park.

The expansive lawn of the country house is the perfect stage for the drinks reception, with an impressive oak tree providing dappled shade from the sun as guests mingle and enjoy the music of "The Wandering Hands." After some relaxed group photos, I explored the stunning gardens with Robyn and Edward, using the colourful blooms and historic architecture as a backdrop for their portraits. The romance between the couple was palpable as they strolled through the picturesque grounds of this gem in the United Kingdom.

Inside the marquee, the couple makes a grand entrance to the cheers and waving napkins of their guests. The next two hours are filled with laughter, great food, and heartfelt speeches. The lively atmosphere during dinner hints at the wild party to come, and "The Ambassadors" band does not disappoint, delivering the perfect mix of soul and party tunes to pack the dance floor.

As the sun begins to set, I steal Robyn and Edward away for some photographs in the golden light. The front of Pylewell Park provides a stunning setting as the sun paints the sky in shades of burning embers. With the light fading, the party continues to light up the marquee as everyone dances the night away.

Exhausted but happy, I make my way back through the New Forest, thrilled to have discovered such a fantastic venue so close to home. I'm already looking forward to day two of the celebrations, which promises to be a relaxed affair with a BBQ and drinks to help soothe any sore heads from today's festivities. Who knows, perhaps next time I'll find myself photographing a wedding on the nearby Isle of Wight!
