A Stunning Furtho Manor Farm Wedding with Tipi Reception
It's been a while since I last posted a wedding, but I'm so happy to have finished my new website and boy do I have a perfect one to share with you today! Luisa & Jack's stunning Furtho Manor Farm wedding in Buckinghamshire is incredible for all the right reasons.
The couple had a church wedding at St Mary and St Giles in Stony Stratford, luckily they live a stone's throw from the church that you can even see the spire from their kitchen window. Churches come in all shapes and size, and sometimes can be pretty challenging to photograph due to darkness, but this one was pretty special, beautiful architecture with light pouring in from every angle! I'll take that!
I particularly love the image of Luisa & her father walking to the church, the Hermione De Paula dress and moment perfectly aligned that it's hard not to smile. Especially when matched with Jack's blue Paul Smith suit, the couple looked so good as they exchanged vows to one another.
After the ceremony and a quick confetti throw for all the guests, everyone travelled to Furtho Manor Farm for the tipi wedding reception, you can tell the couple and maybe a few willing volunteers put in a lot of time and effort as the tipi looked spectacular, with so many beautiful little touches in every direction you faced.
One of my favourite parts of the day was when Jack's uncle (a poet laureate) read out a poem he had written for the couple before the food was served; such a beautiful thing to do for them both (I've added it at the bottom of this post if anyone is interested in reading it!)
As the night unfolded, the band (the Midnight Jams) started setting up to help get the party started, Jack is a professional drummer and he was wrangled in joining with them for a couple of tracks, I absolutely love it when these little things happen! I don't think I saw a quiet moment on the dance floor all night!
If you love this Furtho Manor farm wedding as much as me. Then please comment, I would like to hear your thoughts! Also definitely check out Becky & Jack's gorgeous North Cadbury Court Wedding or Alice & Ben's Wick Bottom Barn wedding in Wiltshire.

‘Fairy Tale Wedding’
When young we’re told Weddings are Fairy Tales;
The occasion, the ceremony, the dress.
So, are you sitting comfortably for the story of
The Little Drummer Boy and the Naples Princess?
They’ve known each other since school days
Even shared a desk, this young lad and lass.
Although they sat together for English
Jack felt Luisa was in a different class.
A chance pairing that foreshadowed their future
A friendship that shines true and bright.
Jack thought Luisa was Bellisima,
She thought Jack was alright.
Yes, Jack was immediately smitten,
‘I’ll chase you down’ he said with a smile.
‘Good luck with that’, said Luisa,
‘Because I can run twenty-six miles’.
So Jack invested in a moped.
In his bid to try and match her.
Yet, Luisa bike was supercharged
So still he couldn’t catch her.
Best friends spending time together
Each found a new family to share
Eventually, their friendship turned romantic
Something their families had foreseen for years.
They’ve travelled the world together
From beaches to mountain tops.
Marching to their drum beat
Once Jack starts drumming, he can’t stop.
Jack planned to surprise Luisa
On bended knee with a ring in Bruges.
To sweep the Naples Princess off her feet
With an offer she couldn’t refuse.
We’re here today because of that ambushed proposal
A stunned Luisa managed to say “yes”
And that’s the real life Fairy Tale
Of how the Drummer Boy snared his Naples Princess.
