A rustic barn wedding at Gorwell Farm
I’ve got a cracking rustic barn wedding at Gorwell Farm for you today! The lovely Sarah & Cam had their ceremony at the Holy Trinity church in Dorchester with Sarah wearing a beautiful Grace Loves Lace dress and Cam rocking a kilt, they looked perfect together I think you’ll agree.
We went spent some time for portraits at Hardy’s monument with the rolling Dorset hills in the background, the dress and veil were dancing in the wind with that incredible 360-degree scenery countryside surrounding! I would definitely recommend anyone going to Dorset for a mini-break to drive up for a look.
Gorwell Farm is a fantastic place for a secluded Dorset wedding, nestled in a small wooded valley in the Purbecks. The venue renovated a beautiful old barn for the reception room with large roof windows to flood the room with light which works wonders for wedding photography. Because it is isolated, you really can go wild for your wedding without getting disturbed by anyone apart from some cows and maybe the odd rambler.
The couple spent what must have been a lifetime on the colourful paper cranes hanging from the converted barn, it works so nicely! Really sets the space alive with vibrant colours.
When sunset approached I took the bride & groom for some extra pictures at the top of the hill near the wedding venue, we absolutely lucked out with the timing and got some beautiful colours from the fading evening sky, the lace of the dress, glowing orange with the sun behind!
The night ended with lots of Ceilidh dancing! It’s always a challenge to photograph but definitely a lot of fun! As long as you avoid the flying elbows…
Please feel free to share or comment on Sarah & Cam’s awesome rustic barn wedding, I would love to hear what you think.
